How a fair doubles round-robin works
A round-robin schedules a group so everyone plays across a series of rounds. A fair doubles round-robin adds three constraints: near-equal playing time, balanced sides, and nobody benched too many rounds in a row. RallyMouuu generates one automatically from just your list of players.
What “fair” means here
- Even play — everyone gets roughly the same number of games.
- Balanced sides — teams are formed to keep each game competitive.
- Rest cap — a limit on how many rounds in a row anyone sits out.
How RallyMouuu generates the rotation
You pick who’s in, choose a format — 1v1, 2v2 or a custom players-per-side — and how many courts you have. Rally then evens out each player’s game count, forms sides by closest rating so matches stay tight, and caps consecutive rests. It fills every court in every round.
Gender mix: Balanced vs Mixed
Even play first fixes how many player-slots each gender must fill. Rally then spreads those slots across three game types — Mixed, Mens and Womens. Balanced(the default) aims for roughly a third of each, capped by your roster’s gender skew; Mixed maximises mixed-gender games. Pure Mens or Womens games collapse automatically when a gender is too thin to field a side.
Parallel courts
Have three courts? Rally schedules three simultaneous games per round and rotates players through them, so a big group plays more games in the same wall-clock time.
